The site, AllAboutLaminators.com, includes a guide to choosing, buying, and using laminators as well as an overview of types of hot and cold laminators in a variety of formats and sizes.
"Laminators are available in a surprising array of sizes, formats and price ranges," said Kevin Savetz, the site's creator. "AllAboutLaminators.com sorts out the different types and helps buyers make an informed decision. There is also information about laminator supplies, maintenance, and safety as well as overviews of the major laminator brands and manufacturers."
The site is a companion to AllAboutShredders.com, a Web resource for consumers and businesses seeking to buy and use paper shredders.
"AllAboutShredders.com has been a valuable presence online since I launched it in 2006, and a laminating resource seemed like a natural addition," Savetz said. Both shredders and laminators are machines commonly at use in school, business and home settings.
The site includes information about high-end laminators designed for heavy use in schools or businesses as well as mid-range laminators, wide-format laminators, single-sided laminators, and inexpensive compact laminators designed for people to use at home, with crafts, or in a small office setting when they just need a few things sealed.
There are also overviews of all types of laminators, from cold or "tape" laminators that use pressure to do the job, to hot laminators that seal film to a document to preserve it.
