Call them what you want, either eco-friendly domestic goddesses or recycling mommy masters, just make sure you use recyclable paper when you do. There's no denying the fact that mom's have taken over the blogosphere with their mission to "green" the planet.

Thousands of new green mommy blogs are sprouting up month after month written by women who are on a mission to save the planet by taking their powerful messages online through videos, podcasts and blogs.

"Most of the waste humans produce comes from the home, and when I chose to stay home and raise my children I knew I needed to start paying attention to being more green" said Doreen Kukral, of the popular green blog MomGoesGreen.com. "With my blog, I'm learning how to be green step-by-step and I'm sharing it with like minded people around the globe. I feel it's my responsibility as a human being, and a mother of two, to do my part to make sure we save the planet."

Guy Kawasaki's Alltop network features thousands of both mommy bloggers and green blogs. The Blogher network also lists an ample directory of mommy blogs, including those that focus on green topics. Not to mention one of the largest blogs on the Internet today, Huffington Post, has an entire green related feature blog section.

Don't discount the mommy bloggers as an advertiser either. As stated in the BBC.

"Today, women are not only the most powerful consumers in the world, we're also the power users of Web 2.0 and social media technologies," said Lisa Stone, BlogHer co-founder.

That willingness to harness the web has resulted in a community of 36 million women who write and read blogs, said Ms Garrubbo. And that gave them clout among advertisers.
